Our Superior rooms typically have luxurious beds, 26 inch flat screen digital television, and a spacious en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. These Superior rooms also have the facilities to make a hot beverage.

By Car
Leave the M6 Motorway at junction 40, Penrith. Pick up the A66 and follow signs for Keswick and Cockermouth. After approximately 15 miles you will come upon direction signs for Keswick (disregard all three turnings) and continue on the A66 for Cockermouth. After approximately 150 yards after the last direction sign to Keswick, a left turning is signposted for Portinscale and Grange. Take this turnoff over a small stone bridge and past the Farmer Arms on the left. Carry on through the village until the road bears sharply right. Turn left on the bend in following the brown direction signs for the Derwentwater hotel and Derwent Manor and we are a further 50 yards on the right

Aspatria is local station to the hotel. A taxi to the hotel from the station should be around £30.
By Air
Black Pool is the nearest airport, 57 miles away but Manchester is better if you are going to hire a car. The airport is 95 miles away and car hire is available through all the big national companies.

Just returned from Easter break at Derewentwater, had a lovely time, food and service really good, rooms clean and tidy, had a problem with TV but was sorted straight away, if you want peace and quiet this is the place to stay

Our first stay at the Derwentwater had a lovely time and felt that we got value for money, the staff were very friendly and polite, and the hotel was clean and set in lovely surroundings. Would certainly visit again.

Second visit this year and will visit again next year great for a weekend break. Very relaxing great for recharging batteries. Great food great staff.
