Norbreck Hotel

Just back from a weekend break at the Norbreck, this hotel was great, yes it’s in need of a refurbishment upstairs but the rooms are spotless, cleaning staff in every day, the dining room has amazing views, the food is good and Sarah is the best member of staff there, she should be made head of house, most helpful girl if it wasn’t for her we would not have got a window seat. Other dinning staff not so helpful and don’t no their jobs so well, we are a couple in our mid-40s and we will be returning.

Norbreck Hotel

I had a lovely weekend at the Norbreck at the end of April 2011 (four adults from mid-fifties to late-sixties). Wonderful views from the hotel. Good walks all round. Rooms comfortable and clean, even cleaned on a Sunday. Towels replenished daily if required. Ask at reception if you want Hot chocolate or Horlicks as an alternative to coffee or tea. All staff are helpful and friendly, especially Roland (waiter). He made our stay, nothing was too much trouble and he was always smiling. I would definitely stay again.

Great time even in freezing Scarborough

Just got back from our 5 day trip to freezing cold Scarborough!! Nothing freezing about our hotel though, it did drop cold in the night but it was about -8 outside, extra blankets were provided in case you needed them. First of all a great thank you to out drivers on the trip, especially Kevin for his and 2 other drivers leaving Whitby on a very snowy Thursday afternoon, for their very safe driving on snowy roads. The hotel was clean and bright, the staff were great, very polite, and very helpful, the rooms were spotless, in need of redecorating, but not a problem as it was only a little bit of wallpaper that wanted sticking down. The water was piping hot and the bathrooms had been refurbished with what looked like new equipment, lovely white towels etc. The food choice was excellent, could do with a few of the recipes myself, the staff in the dining room were very efficient and polite. The evening entertainment was also excellent, ALL were very good, and everyone enjoyed the shows that were put on. Another great time with Shearings, many thanks...
