Often our most luxurious room option. Most premier rooms have four-poster beds and spacious en suite bathrooms that have been beautifully re-fitted to accommodate both bath and shower options. These large rooms will normally offer a comfortable seating area, 32 inch flat screen digital television, hairdryer and the facilities to make a hot beverage.
Our Superior rooms typically have luxurious beds, 26 inch flat screen digital television, and a spacious en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. These Superior rooms also have the facilities to make a hot beverage.
Our Standard Rooms are charming and have everything you would expect from a modern hotel - private facilities, a TV and everything you need to make yourself a hot beverage.

A very well presented hotel in a fine headland position overlooking the attractive port. Our room was excellent and the staff were pleasant and helpful. There was a reasonable choice of menu at dinner and breakfast and the food was good. Highly recommended.

Beautiful holiday, Melvin is superb, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, room had a gorgeous view, it was most suitable for our requirements and now we ask for it every time we go, food is lovely, will keep going back, would recommend it to anyone.

All of the staff were friendly & helpful. This hotel has a most magnificent scenic view. A good centre for north & south Galloway coastal tours. The dining room was spacious and laid out with well separated tables. The breakfast menu offered an excellent selection of food. The dinner menu & food was 'average' - an additional menu selection was available at an extra charge. For those with mobility problems should check that their rooms are served by a lift. Recommended as a comfortable hotel.

If this is what you’re looking for, look no further, this is the place. Request sea-view room, and you will not be disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Room was well appointed, comfortable, clean, en suite excellent. All staff polite, courteous, and friendly. Restaurant, well organised, menu very good, something for everyone. We look forward to our next visit
